How accurate are the material estimates?
Coverage rates are based on manufacturer specs: epoxy base at 250 sq ft/gallon, topcoat at 300 sq ft/gallon. Real usage varies by floor porosity and coating thickness. Add a 10 to 15% buffer for waste.
Should I include wall area?
No. Epoxy flooring covers only the floor surface. Measure floor area only. For L-shaped rooms, calculate each section separately and add them.
What if my room is an odd shape?
Break irregular rooms into rectangles, calculate each separately, and add them together. For professional accuracy, have a contractor measure on-site, most offer free estimates.
